Ascher Opler (1917-1969)


Ascher Opler was born to Samuel and Sadie Opler in New York. He was the Grand Uncle of Daryl Faith Koota. He graduated at the early age of 15 from the Cherry Lawn School (pictured) in Darien, Connecticut which was most likely due to his acute intellegence. Ascher was known well in the programming and computer community, acheiving awards while working for IBM and other prominent industry companies. He died suddenly in New York at the young age of 52.

Arnold Opler was the Great Grand Uncle of Daryl Faith Koota. He was born to Mortimer and Minnie Opler in Brooklyn, New York and resided there until removing to Chicago, Illinois with his brother Edmond where they became founders of E & A Opler, a bulk cocoa packing company. This company is known today as World's Finest Chocolate Inc.

Arnold and his wife, Eleanor had two children- John and Margery.

Mortimer Opler


Mortimer Opler was the 2nd Great Grandfather of Daryl Faith Koota. He was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States between 1870-1872 with his wife, Minnie. They resided mostly in Brooklyn, New York and had 8 children. Mortimer was the owner of Opler Manufacturing Company that manufactured knits and infant caps.
